“Paint-by-Number Sunset”

A 1970’s Parlor Wedding Editorial

Natalie (Two Be Wed) and I dreamed up this paint-by-number inspired concept during a brainstorming session in which we discovered a mutual love for the color palettes of the 1970s as well as masculine, slightly off-beat styling a la Wes Anderson. Loop in curator Joellyn Moynahan’s beautifully modernized historic inn Carr Mansion, Josh and Dana Fernandez’s fine art photography outfit and a deep bench of local vendor talent, and we arrive at a collaboration published by Brides of Houston in their Fall/Winter 2019 issue. I still can’t get over this interpretive go at “sunset colors” though: dusty rose, soft salmon, olive green, mustard yellow, sea-foam blue and purple mountain? Again, please.
